Description: A CO2 fire extinguisher uses carbon dioxide as extinguishing agent. The non-flammable gas quickly and reliably suffocates Class B fire sources without leaving any residue. Fire class B includes all liquid substances as well as flammable materials that become liquid when exposed to heat. These include, for example, petrol, oils, fats, alcohol and paints, but also plastics such as PVC, wax and tar. The gaseous carbon dioxide of a CO2 fire extinguisher is electrically non-conductive and can therefore also be used in sensitive technical equipment, IT systems in offices, server rooms or switch cabinets. CO2 extinguishers are also suitable for use in fires in areas where special hygienic requirements apply.
